Hybrids in China?

Suprisingly I found a huge variety of hybrid vehicles througout China. Not only that a lot of cars had CNG or LPG (mainly cabs). Also almost every smaller motorbike had an electric power system. It seems that whole Beijing was changing their bikes in preparation of the Olympic Games.
